Ilko Koestler
walk & talk —

Ilko Koestler (Germany, 1978) studied landscape architecture in Berlin. In 2016 he finished his post graduate studies in print graphics with Thomas Rug at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Hallle. During the same year, he was awarded a grant in New York by the Art Foundation of State Saxony-Anhalt at ISCP. This stay was a great influence on the artist who has been developing his career in the world of print making and who has recently published his retrospective catalogue Black In Transit. Last 2020 Ilko was one of four holders of scholarship in honor of the 100ths death-day of Max Klinger.

«The common walk was a pleasure and enrichment for me on divers levels.
After seven days I am mindful about the importance of my family, friends and my activities with art. The talk gave me a great chance to discover new strategies to continue. Now I am alert how I could realize future projects.»
