Rafael Vogel is a musician and filmmaker from Hannover/Germany, who graduated in Media Art and Design at the Bauhaus University Weimar in 2011.
His work tries to explore various aesthetics of cinematic atmospheres. In his music, he reshapes samples from soundtracks and forgotten new age records in order to create new imaginary worlds. Those imaginary worlds furthermore inspire a musical and subconscious approach to his film making. In both fields, he is looking for a poetic truth that stems from the never ending fascination for people’s lives, stories and dreams.
