Konstantina Mavridou (b. Greece) is a media and conceptual artist based in Thessaloniki. She studied mathematics at the University of Ioannina before graduating from the Unstable Media department at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam. Her practice investigates invisible systems of orientation, measurement and calibration through installations using marble, water, light, screens and mechanical structures.
«Bonfire arrived at a moment when my practice was already focused. What this residency offered is the slower work of understanding what surrounds a practice, the relationships and the conversations. I activated a new piece publicly for the first time. Few came. Those who did, stayed. I am deeply grateful to the team, to my fellow artists, and to the exchange that shaped this time. The company along the way has been everything.»
